Anita A. Chute, age 69 of Greenville, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, November 30, 2024.
Anita Ann, the daughter of Richard J. and Irma G. (Wilkison) Mertens, was born November 26, 1955, in Washington, Missouri.
She grew up near Warrenton Missouri, attended Holy Rosary grade school, and graduated from Warrenton High School. Anita graduated from the University of Missouri Rolla with a degree in Chemical Engineering.
She worked for McDonnell-Douglas, now Boeing as a Materials & Process engineer in St. Louis until retirement in 2011. It was at work where she and her husband Rod met.
Anita and Rodney Craig Chute were united in marriage on February 13, 1993. They have enjoyed 31 years of marriage.
Anita is survived by her husband Rod, daughters: Rachel, Renee, and Anna, sisters Suzie, Charlene, Janice, Laura and brothers Jack and Mike. Loving grandmother to Daniel Wilson.
Preceded in death by her son Daniel Isaac Chute, parents, and grandparents.
Her most cherished things in life were God, Family, and gardening. Anita was a faithful Christian and loved sharing with family and friends.
Private family services are being held at the Donnell–Wiegand Funeral Home with interment in Wait Cemetery. Memorials in memory of Anita may be made to the donor’s choice.
