Andrew T. Parker, age 58, passed away at 1:35 am on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at Rosewood Care Center in Edwardsville, IL.
He was born August 22, 1959, in Alton, the son of John P. Parker and Elizabeth J. Straube. He married Deborah K. Johnson on October 19, 1985 at the Eden Church in Edwardsville. They were happily married until her passing on June 7, 2011.
Andrew was a kind and loving man whose passion was to hunt. Beyond that passion was hanging out with his family and friends. He belonged to the Moose Lodge in Edwardsville and he worked for Ameren as a utility worker until his retirement in 2018.
He is survived by his daughter Nicole Parker along with her fiancé Ryan Norton of Cottage Hills; several brothers and sisters with their spouses, John and (Alice) Parker of San Angelo Texas, Patricia Parker of Edwardsville, Elizabeth and (Steven) Schaab of Florida, Robert and (Judy) Parker of Glen Carbon Illinois; 16 nieces and nephews; 22 great nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews. Andrew is also survived by his in laws Jerry and Marlene Johnson of Bethalto.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife and a brother, James C. Parker.
Visitation will be held Thursday August 23, 2018, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Edwardsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
