Alma Smith

Alma M. Smith, age 96 died at 8:55 PM on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at the Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Michigan.  She was born in Alton on April 21, 1920 the daughter of the late William and Lena (Keber) Broer.  On December 11, 1946 she married Harold C. Smith and he preceded her in death on February 2, 2002.  Surviving are one daughter; Deborah Tumath and her fiancé Paul Andary of Macomb, Michigan.  Alma was preceded in death by one brother; William Broer and one sister; Lilly Davis. 

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until funeral service at 11:00 on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton with Pastor Danny Holliday officiating.  Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.  Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.  Online guestbook and additional information may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.com
