Alberta A. Kennedy, 94, died at 6:45 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2018 at Eunice Smith Nursing Home in Alton.
Born October 2, 1924 in Alton, she was the daughter of Fred A. and Agnes P. (Messerle) Storm. On June 18, 1943 she married Dale V. Kennedy in Oakdale, LA. He Preceded her in death.
Mrs. Kennedy was a member of Godfrey Baptist Church and retired as a secretary from Lewis & Clark Community College.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Vickie Kennedy of Bethalto, four grandchildren, Colin (Hyaraced) Kennedy, Eric Kennedy and his fiancé Carrie, Tyler (Jennifer) Kennedy, Kerry (Steffie) Kennedy, two step-grandchildren, Brent Cherry and Brady (Jennifer) Cherry, and 13 great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Kennedy and a brother, Benjamin G. Storm.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Stanley W. Kennedy will officiate.
Burial will be private at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
