Alan Stromske

Alan “Al-Ski” Dale Stromske, 57, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at 7:24 a.m. at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis with his family by his side.

He was born on July 24, 1959 in Alton, the son of Edward and Wanda (Stice) Stromske.

Alan married Jill Walker on June 24, 2006 in Alton. She survives.

Alan worked as an estimator for Tycon Builders. He was a member of New Attitudes Motorcycle Club (N.A.M.C) and Alcoholics Anonymous. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, building things, fishing, leatherworks and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his father, Edward Stromske of Alton; five children, Greg (Francesca) Eales, Casey Bowman, Dylan Coleman, Jacob Coleman, Tessa Stromske; three grandchildren, Avalon, Atticus, Lux; two siblings, Deborah (Scott) Goforth, Mark (Karen) Stromske; mother and father-in-law, Gordon and Sharon Pritchett; sister-in-law, Julie Ponce; brother-in-law, Joe Pritchett and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Stromske, a son-in-law, Ronnie Bowman and a brother-in-law, Danny Ponce.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2017.

Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.

Memorials may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
