Ada Riley

Ada Kay Riley, 78, passed away at 12:39 pm Friday June 1, 2018 at St. Anthony’s Health Center in Alton. She was born on December 28, 1939 in Alton, the daughter of John & Mary (Jones) Gillis.

Ada married Thomas Odell Riley on January 7, 1957 in Potosi, OK and he preceded her in death on August 4, 1983.She lived for her children and grandchildren, was a day care provider and enjoyed reading.Ada is survived by four daughters and a son-in-law, Mary S. (Riley) Reinacher of Hillsboro, Janet K & Melvin Ripperda of Hillsboro, Karin E. Henrion of Alton, and Cheryl R. Adams of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Don Gillis, two sisters, Marilyn Miller and Sharon Depper.In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by three grandchildren, one brother, Edward Gillis and a sister, Shirley Young.Visitation will be from 10 am until time of funeral at 12 pm Wednesday June 6, 2018 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey with Pastor Andre Dobson officiating.
