Abbigale E. Klotz, 20 passed away at 8:19 pm on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She was born November 24, 1993 in Alton, IL, the daughter of Brad and Lucinda Klotz and Taun and Victor Spurgeon.
Abbi graduated from Civic Memorial High School. She was a medical assistant at the Maryville Women’s Center and she attended Missouri College. She loved all cats, especially her cat, Big Murray and she also loved music.
She is survived by her parents, Brad and Lucinda Klotz of Bethalto and Taun and Victor Spurgeon of Dorsey; a sister, Rhece Masiero of Bethalto; two brothers, Ethan and Austin Spurgeon of Dorsey; her grandparents, Don and Jean Klotz of Holiday Shores, Greg and Debbie Spurgeon of Dorsey and Louis and Linda Mellenthin of Rosewood Heights; a great grandmother, Dorothy Reitz of Hillsboro, IL and her boyfriend, Airman 1st Class Ryan Helmkamp, as well as many others who loved her.
She was preceded in death by a grandmother, Sherri Holland.
Visitation will be from 11 am until services at 3 pm Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Pastor Charles West officiating.
Luncheon will follow at the Wood River VFW.
Memorials may be made to the 5 A’s Animal Shelter.
