Irvin Schreier, 80, went to be with the Lord at 6:40 pm Saturday, September 28, 2013 at home with his family by his side.
He was born on August 1, 1933 in Dorsey, IL the son of the late Irvin Henry & Lucille (Butler) Schreier.
He married Anita L. Schreier on July 25, 1952 in E. St. Louis. She preceded him in death on June 7, 2008.
Irvin is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin L. & Pamela Schreier and Darin L. Schreier, all of Bethalto; four grandchildren, Steven, Jessica, Josh, and Breanna; one sister, Lydia Manley of St. Louis; one cousin, Ethel Whalen of Bethalto and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9 am until time of funeral services at 11 am Wednesday October 2, 2013 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Burial will follow at Bethalto United Methodist Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Bethalto Church of God.
