Doris P. Fitch, 87, of Madison, IL passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 at Kindred Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born February 11, 1926 in Murphysboro, IL to Andrew and Florence (nee: Vannover) Nation. Doris married David Earl Fitch on March 14, 1970 in St. Charles, MO.
She was a member of Bethel Fellowship in Dupo, IL, and had worked in home health care over the years.
Doris is survived by her husband, daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann & Kerwin Hoffman of Alton, IL, son and daughter-in-law, Randy & Debra Mayes of Granite City, IL, grandchildren, Scott, John, Sherry, Denna, Rhonda, Jessica, Derick, Shantell, Autumn Rain, Valerie, Rod and Julie, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, sister Mable Garrison of Granite City, IL, Ex-daughter-in-law and close friend Brenda Kay Jordan Holmes of Granite City, IL, life-long friends, Dennis Bailey and Francis Garcia, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by both parents, four sons and daughter-in-law, Jerry Jordan Sr., Roland Wayne Mayes, Ronald & Janet Sue Jordan and Jody A. Hinnen, grandchildren, Jerry Jordan Jr., Randy Mayes II, Timothy Jordan, Theresa Jordan, great great granddaughter Destine Jordan and sister, Katherine Clutts.
Cremation services were entrusted to Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City, IL. The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
Burial will be at St. James Cemetery in Edwardsville, IL
