Sandra (Granny) E. Neely, 44, passed away at 9:15 pm, April 3, 2013, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She was born in Monticello, MS, the daughter of the late Roosevelt Neely and Ruby (Berry) Neely, who survives.
Sandra was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Alton, where she loved to go out in the ministry. She worked for Challenge Unlimited for over 26 years and enjoyed going out to eat with her friends and listening to music. She loved to spend time with her family.
She is survived by two sisters, Ruth Neely and Trudy Neely, both of East Alton; five brothers, Excell Norwood of Magee, Mississippi, Manchion & (Shelly) Neely of Carmel, Indiana, Roosevelt Neely Jr. of Alton, James & (Melissa) Neely of Wood River, and Matthew Neely of Alton, and several nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roosevelt.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey
The funeral Service will be 11:00 am on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 2307 Union School Rd. in Alton, with Michael Parsons officiating.
Burial will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton, IL.
