Diana M. (Dooley) Macias, 69, passed away at 12:14 pm Saturday October 2, 2010 at Alton Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born on March 28, 1941 in Alton, the daughter of Raymond & Edna (Carter) Dooley.
She married Cecil M. Macias on October 25, 1975 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He survives.
She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church and retired from Jourdain Roofing in 2004 after 40 years of service. She was a member of the Alton VFW Ladies Auxiliary, she enjoyed gardening, collecting dolls, crafts and she loved her cats.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by a special son and daughter-in-law, William & Christine Yenne of Brighton; one brother, John Dooley of Fosterburg, one sister and brother-in-law, Linda & Don Hudgens of Jacksonville, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her special grandson, Neal Yenne; and sisters, Janice Lux and Maryann Rynders.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday October 5, 2010 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday October 6, 2010 with Fr. Shawn Monahan OMV officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Alton.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or to the 5A’s animal shelter.
