Jimmy L. Clark, Sr., passed away at 2:30 pm, Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Eldercare of Alton.
He was born in Granite City on May 18, 1936 the son of William G. and Sadie Maud (Fancher) Clark.
He was a longtime resident of Grafton, IL and was a member of the Army Reserves, as well as worked for Laclede Steel Company and Waggoner Trucking.
He was a loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by a son and his wife, Jimmy L., Jr. and Lonna Clark, of Alton, his daughter and son in law, Sherry S. and Rodger Holden of Slidell, LA, six grandchildren, Chris Holden and Melissa Inman both of Grafton, Dustin Greer of Colorado, Travis Clark of Brighton, Melissa & Greg Kuehnel and Tara Clark all of Alton. He is also survived by six great grandchildren, Ryan, Jozie, Morgan, Gregory, Colton, and Damien, as well as his brother, William G. Clark, Jr. of Pevely, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Charles Clark and his former wife and mother of his children, Sharon (Foval) Clark.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm, Sunday at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey with funeral service on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey, IL.
