Patti Sue Stark, 52, lost her battle with cancer after four years at 9:30 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at her home.
Born July 8, 1957 in Alton, she was the daughter of Richard W. and Mary (Edwards) Young of Alton.
She was a senior underwriter for Millers First Insurance. She was a lifetime member of the Order of The Amaranth and Royal Neighbors of America. On August 8, 2000 she married Carl W. Stark. He survives.
Also survives is a daughter, Jamie Page and her husband Greg of Alton, a son, Jason Auston and his wife Sarah of San Diego, CA, a step daughter, Crystal Stark and her fiancé Richard Burrell both of Godfrey, along with four other step children, three grandchildren and nine step grandchildren, a sister, Vicki D. Young of Roxana and three adopted sisters, Tottie Plessa, Christine Jacobs and Kathryn Cook all of Roxana.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Private graveside services will be held at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Reverend Mike Paddock will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
