Bernice A. Dalton, 93, passed away at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Eunice C. Smith Home in Alton.
She was born Sept. 21, 1916 in Sea Horn, Ill., the daughter of Dallas and Ethel (Haskins) Medhurst.
She married Kent R. Dalton Oct. 10, 1936 in Alton. He passed away in 1984.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Ronald Eaton of East Alton; a son and daughter-in-law, Dallas and Joyce Dalton of Edwardsville; three grandchildren, Leigh Ann, Laurel Kay Sullivan and Tod Eaton; and a brother, and sister-in-law, Maurice and Odean Medhurst of Alton.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Dale Eugene and Bobby Dean Medhurst.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday April 22 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, where Rev. Eugene Cope will officiate services at 11 a.m. Friday, Apr. 23.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to Northside Assembly of God Church in Godfrey.
