Eugene Ralph Bock, 78, died at 6:40 a.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born February 20, 1932 in Alton, he was the son of Ralph and Freda (Summers) Bock.
He retired in 1995 from the brass mill at the Olin Corporation in East Alton. On December 30, 1950 in Alton, he married the former Dorothy L. Brown. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters; Marsha Hartman and husband John of Wood River, Ruth Belfield and husband Tim of Alton, three sons; Steve Bock, Ralph Bock and William Bock all of Brighton, six grandchildren; Donald Bock, Sara Bock, Eugene Hartman, Jeff Hartman, Nathan Belfield and Thomas Belfield, five great grandchildren; Ian Bock, Clara Higgenbotham, Tim Scheff, Payton Hartman and Lucas Hartman, four brothers; Marvin Bock of Lukin, TX, Donald Bock of Gulf Port, MS, Raymond Bock of Wood River, Richard Bock of Woodbridge, VA, three sisters; Leona Hyman of Missouri, Emma Patterson of Madison, IL and Norma Cole of Jerseyville and his mother-in-law, Laura Nelson of Bethalto.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon Saturday at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Pastor David Burman will officiate. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the Brown Street Baptist Church in Alton.
