JERSEYVILLE- Emma "Babe" Isringhausen, 85, died unexpectedly at 1:25 p.m., Thursday, April 8, 2010 at her residence.She was born in rural Fieldon on March 22, 1925, the last surviving child born to the late Frank & Tina (Young) Schaaf.She had previously worked in the housekeeping department at Principia College in Elsah, a cook at Garnet's Chateau in Jerseyville, as well as cared for the elderly in their homes. She was a longtime member of the Peace United Church of Christ in Jerseyville, and was a member of the Monday cooking crew.Surviving are a daughter & son in law, Peggy & Donald Perdun of Jerseyville; three grandchildren, Brett, and his wife, Gayle Trask, Darren Perdun, and his fiance Lindsey Moss all of Jerseyville, and Lori Dailey of Glen Carbon; two great grandchildren, Trevor and Hannah.She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Cora Cunningham, Thelma Murrell, Bertha Schaaf; and four brothers, Raymond, Mark, Lawrence & Russell Schaaf.Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at the Peace United Church of Christ in Jerseyville.Burial will be in the Fieldon Cemetery.Memorials may be given to the Peace United Church of Christ in Jerseyville.
