Imo E. Graner, 81, died at 8:50 a.m., Friday, April 9, 2010 at her residence.
She was born June 6, 1928 in Perkins, MO the daughter of the late Ralph Harley and Lula T. Thomas London. On October 29, 1946 she married Orville C. Foraker and he preceded her in death August 8, 1978. On July 16, 1988 in Alton she married Donald W. Graner and he survives. She worked for Millers Mutual Insurance Company in Alton. She retired in 1988 from Alton Mental Health Center where she worked in the accounting and pharmacy departments for 18 years.
Besides her husband she is survived by one son; David A. Foraker and his wife Cathy of Black Mountain, N.C., one daughter; Susan Koehne and her husband Terry of Godfrey. Two step-sons; Steven Graner and his wife Rhonda of Carrollton and Scott Graner of Columbus, Ohio. One granddaughter; Heather Foraker of O’Fallon, Il, one grandson; Christopher Koehne of Lino Lakes, MN, three step-grandchildren; Ryan Graner of Eldred, Il, Jacob Graner of Carrollton, Il, and Brian Graves and Linda Hyatt of Rock Hill, SC. Two great grandsons and one great granddaughter. One Aunt; Dorothy Sumner of Hartford, IL, nieces, nephews and above all, her many cousins.
She is preceded in death by two brothers; Ralph Cline Harley and John Ray Harley, and one step-brother; Adon London.
Visitation will be Monday, April 12, 2010 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Gent Funeral Home with the Reverend Adrian Das to officiate. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
