Mary “Louise” Myers, 77, passed away at 8:24 pm Friday, April 3, 2010 at home with her family at her side while under the care of Heartland Hospice
She was born on April 17, 1932 in East Alton, IL the daughter of Ernest C. Hunt Sr. and Myrtle V. Smith.
She married James “Melvin” Myers on November 13, 1948 in Edwardsville and he preceded her in death on January 25, 2002.
She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Cottage Hills where she enjoyed her Bible study group. She enjoyed fishing, baking pies for her family and friends. She dearly loved her family and was a wonderful model for her family and friends.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry M & Georgene Myers of Worden and Rick & Cindy Myers of Cottage Hills, five grandchildren, Kathy Kirby, Tim, Matthew, Scott and Jennifer Myers; six great grandchildren and one sister and brother-in-law, Margaret N. & Dan Pelhank of Bethalto; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Hunt of Meadowbrook and a brother-in-law, Frank Hueneger of Moro.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Ernest C. Hunt Jr.; and a sister, Joyce R. Hueneger.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Monday April 5, 2010 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto where funeral services will be held at 10 am Tuesday April 6, 2010 Monday with Rev. Steve Bush officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Bible Baptist Church or Heartland Hospice.
