Robert Richardson

Robert J. Richardson, 53, passed away on April 1, 2010 at his home.
Born Aug. 16, 1956 in Alton, he was the son of John E. and Jean K. (Kocher) Richardson, both now deceased.
He was a truck driver for the Teamster’s Union, and in his early days of driving, he also was a "roadie" for many nationally known rock groups and musicians such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, KISS, B.B. King, and Neil Diamond to name a few.
A member of the Alton Chapter of Harley Davidson Hogs, he also was a longtime supporter of New Attitudes Motorcycle Club.
He is survived by two sisters, Carole Kopis of Lake Ozark, Mo. and Jean Boone of Bethalto.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siter, Mary H. Brown.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, Apr. 5 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights.
A committal service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Apr. 6 at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to 5 A’s animal shelter or New Attitudes Motorcycle Club.
