Finez LeBlanc, 87, passed away peacefully at 6:45 am Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton while under the care of BJC Hospice.

She was born on April 5, 1922 in Glasgow, IL, the daughter of Finis H. & Jennie (McLamarah) Savage.

She was married to Dr. John LeBlanc on June 19, 1942. He passed away on November 5, 1994.

Finez was owner/operator of SWRL Package Liquor & Lounge for many years and then worked for Dr. Ed Davison at his dentist office in East Alton for several years. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She was known as "Mother, Mom, Grandma, Nana, Maw Maw, Gram and Granny Goose" to many. She was directly and indirectly in the rearing of children for seventy five years. Rearing children was a lifelong endeavor and she had shared her family home several young girls in need. The wisdom she shared will be remembered by many. Cooking and baking were her passions and sharing a meal brought her great joy. She loved to spend time in her yard until recent years, she was an avid reader, loved to camp, travel and spend time with her family and friends.

She is survived by one daughter, Buezetta LeBlanc of Bethalto; two sons, Rodrique and F. Bradley LeBlanc both of Bethalto and two grandchildren, Tammy McMillan and Savannah LeBlanc.
