Lorraine D. Cromwell, 93, died at 2:05 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton.
She was born June 7, 1916 in Alton, Illinois to Frank A. and Bertha (Stauffer) Dudzik.
She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. She loved her flowers and sharing her flowers with others. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Godfrey.
Surviving are two daughters; Elinor Neel and her husband Howard of Las Vegas and Candy Reem and her husband Stephen of Moline, Illinois. Four grandchildren; Michael Sean Neel, Gail Strebel, Violet Smith and Mark Thompson. Several great-grandchildren and a special cousin; Rose Stauffer.
She was preceded in death by two sons; Walter Thompson, Jr and Michael E. Cromwell, one son in law; Robert Moody, Five brothers; Maurice, Edward, Otto, Jimmy, and Bobby.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at GENT Funeral Home in Alton with Reverend Ralph Blake to officiate.
Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to Harmony Baptist Church in Godfrey.
