Dorothy L. Shelton, 85, passed away at 12:35 am Tuesday March 2, 2010 at VIP Manor Nursing Home in Wood River.
She was born on August 19, 1924 in St. Louis, MO the daughter of Arthur & Josephine (Thrailkill) Aljets.
She married Alan Donald Boettger and he preceded her in death. She then married Leland Wayne Shelton and he also preceded her in death.
She was and avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Sandy & Allen Connoyer of Godfrey, Cathy Tribbe of Manchester, MO, and a son, Larry Boettger of Cocoa Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Matthew Zimmermann of Godfrey and Jean Connoyer of Alton; a sister-in-law, Marge Aljets of Moro.
In addition to her husband and parents, a brother, Bob Aljets, also preceded her in death.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 4 pm until time of funeral services at 7 pm Friday March 5, 2010 at Staten-Fine Funeral Home with Chaplain Linda James officiating.
Cremation rites will be accorded and inurnment will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
