Raymond Trosley

Wood River |

Raymond T. Trosley, 55, passed away at 6:45 a.m. Thursday, January 28, 2010 at St. Louis University Hospital.

Born Aug. 11, 1954 in Alton, he was the son of Joseph A. and Josephine J. (Raymond) Trosley.

On June 11, 1983, he married Rhonda Mester. She survives.

He had worked as a security guard at Wood River Township and Christian Northeast Hospitals. He was currently a postman for the East Alton Post Office and was a member of the United Postal Workers Union.

He is survived by his wife and mother, both of Wood River; 3 sons, Ryan, Jordan and Tory Trosley, all of Wood River; two brothers, Father Anthony Trosley of Nauvoo, Ill. and Steve Trosley and his wife Linda of Freeport, Ill.; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, and will continue Monday, Feb. 1 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Wood River from 9:30 a.m. until a funeral Mass is celebrated at 11 a.m. by his brother, Father Anthony Trosley.

Burial will follow at Woodland Hill Cemetery in East Alton.

Memorials may be made to the Oncology Dept. of St. Louis University Medical Center or the Tory Trosley College Fund.
