Tammy L. Conreux, 45, died at 9:34 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Alton Memorial Hospital. Born March 16, 1964 in Ft. Ord, California, she was the daughter of Thomas L. and Irene (Ruebling) Mitchell.
She worked for Central Hardware and also worked with her parents who owned and operated Mitchell Monument Sales in Godfrey. She was a member of the Alton Eagles Aerial No 254. On August 19, 1983 in Godfrey, she married John H. Conreux. He survives.
Also surviving is a step-son, Greg Conreux of Godfrey, a step-daughter, Melissa Reed of Billings, Montana, step-grandchildren; Joey Long, Jered Conreux, Danny Griesmer, Christopher Conreux and Kaden Conreux and others, brothers and sisters; Wanda and Dave Young of Alton, Mike and Donna Mitchell of Washington, KY, and Carolyn Mitchell of Washington, KY, nieces and nephews; Tara Young of Alton, Stacy Myers of Alton, Dawn Mains of Washington, KY, Tamara Jones of Godfrey, Trisha Perks of Springfield, IL, Brad Conreux, Jamie Conreux and Scott Conreux all of Edwardsville, and Jimmy Bachman of Brighton, and great nieces and nephews, two daughters-in-law, Cynthia Long of Brighton and Tamra Conreux of Godfrey, brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Sherry Conreux of Godfrey, Dale and Mary Conreux of Brighton, Mark and Patty Conreux of Troy, IL and Michelle and Dale Bachman of Brighton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws, Oliver and Betty Conreux and her step-son, Christopher Conreux.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be at Upper Alton Cemetery. Reverend Sonny Renken will officiate. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
