Marguerite E. Crowson, 94, died at 11:55 a.m. Monday, January 11, 2010 at Eldercare Nursing Home in Alton. She was born August 17, 1915 in Alton to Edward and Marguerite (Krill) Slenker.
On March 16, 1940 in Alton she married Harold "Bing" Crowson. He preceded her in death on August 18, 1999. She was a member of Elm Street Presbyterian Church in Alton and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons; Ronald Crowson and his wife Sharon of Brighton and Donald Crowson and his wife Barbara of Peoria, five grandchildren, 12 grandchildren, and two sisters; Gladys Boren of Pearl, and Betty Williams of Alton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Merle Knowles.
Graveside services will be private at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. John Kennedy will officiate. Memorials may be made to Elm Street Presbyterian Church in Alton. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
