Donald Wayne Elberg, 57, died Saturday, December 5, 2009 at his residence. He was born July 9, 1952 in Alton to Robert C. and Margaret (Warr) Elberg. He was married to the former Linda Moore and she survives. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1970-1974.
Besides his parents and wife surviving are two daughters; Chandra and her husband Clinton Short of East Alton and Alyssa Moore of East Alton. Two sons; Chris and his wife Denna Elberg of South Roxana and Dustin and his wife Gina Elberg of Alton. Six Grandchildren; Crista, Erica, Kiele, Klarissa, Isabella and Jeffrey. One brother; Rodger and his wife Betsy Elberg of Shipman, and two sisters; Patty and Tim Howarth of Woodburn, IL and Shelia and Dan Russell of Fosterburg.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Bob Beloit. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
