Jennifer Christine Howland, 36, went to be with the Lord at 11:33 am Friday November 13, 2009 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO with her family by her side.
She was born on April 20, 1973 in Alton, IL.
She touched many lives, especially the ones at the Madison County Association for Retarded Citizens.
She is survived by her parents, Charles "Tom" & Sheila Howland of Bethalto, a brother, Chad Howland of Bethalto, her grandparents, Charles & Evelyn Howland of Medora and Clifford & Jane Sims of Harrisburg, IL; several aunts and uncles, Mike & Charlene Shaw of Rosewood Heights, Marlene & George Stanich of Rosewood Heights, Abe & Judy King of East Alton, Marilyn Grizzle of South Roxana, Ron & Connie Stone of Granite City, Jeff & Luanne Moody of Bethalto, Danny & Kelly Howland of Brighton, Michael & Kristie Howland of Godfrey, David & Ami Sims of Rosewood Heights, Ruby Quiller of Hamburg, Clay & Joyce Brueggeman of East Alton, and Kevin & Janet Brueggeman of Wood River, IL; one niece Chloe Howland of Godfrey; many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mark & Gerry Brueggeman and a nephew, Colin Howland.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday November 17, 2009 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto where funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday November 18, 2009 with Rev. Charles West officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the William BeDell Achievement Resource Center.
