Louise Crowson

Louise "Wo" Crowson, 94, passed away Friday, October 16, 2009 at home. She was born April 17, 1915 in Alton to Edward and Lulu (Garner) O'Leary. Her marriage to Earl C. Crowson took place on August 23, 1941 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton. She was an original member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey. She worked for several years for her sister Margie at Godfrey Food Shop. Survivors include her nephew Thomas Crowson and his wife Terrie, with whom she resided. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her dear friend and sister-in-law, Marg Crowson. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Thomas O'Leary, five sisters; Julia O'Leary, Mary Meyers, Margaret Rosa, Agnes Nowaski, Mabel Crowson and Charlotte O'Leary. There will be private family services at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements. The family wished to acknowledge BJC Hospice for their wonderful care and support.
