Henry R. "Junior" Czarnecki, 66, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2009 at Oakwood Hospital in Trenton, Mich.
Born Dec. 22, 1942 in Posen, Ill., he was the son of Andrew and Florence (Stawicki) Czarnecki.
A U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam era, he was a member of the American Legion Post 0067 in Lincoln Park, Mich.
He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, James and Czarnecki of Dorsey; a sister, Elaine Czarnecki of Brownstown Township, Mich.; 3 nieces and their spouses, Amy Czarnecki, Lisa and Steve Bratten, and Pamela and Chad Partridge; 4 great nieces and a great nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Arlene; and a brother, Michael.
Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 12 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
