Dorothy L. Dunnagan, 83, passed away at 2:52 pm Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Christian Hospital Northeast
She was born on December 20, 1925 in Lyon County, KY, the daughter of Robert & Clara (Elliott) Forsythe.
She married Julian "Haze" Dunnagan on September 6, 1942 at Old Monroe, MO. He preceded her in death on August 13, 1994.
She was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God Church and attended the Meadowbrook Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed reading the bible, going to church and working at the Hope Center.
She is survived by one son and a daughter-in-law, Danny & Shirley Dunnagan of Bunker Hill, two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda & Harvey Walker of Grand Rivers, KY and Terri & J.R. Gunn of Bethalto, thirteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, one sister, Pearl Duff and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three children, Kathy Burger, Julian Wayne and Dottie Elaine Dunnagan; four sisters and two brothers, Susie Forsythe, Alene Bloodworth, Robert Forsythe, Woodrow Forsythe, Rossie Trimm, Lois Forsythe, and Cecil Forsythe.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday October 6, 2009 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto where funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday October 7, 2009. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Assembly of God Church Building Fund or family.
