Cathi Jackson

Cathi Jackson, 55, died at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, September 08, 2009 at her home in Wood River. Born July 24, 1954 in Wood River, she was the daughter of Mary (Shandrow) Jackson of Alton and the late Everett Clarence Jackson. She was a warranty clerk for Auto Centers Nissan in Wood River for the past seven years. She loved arts and crafts and making things for people. One of her favorite things to do was help other people. She never thought of herself first. Besides her mother she is survived by her daughter, Angie Stanfill and her husband Jaymz of Wood River, three grandchildren; Taylor, Megan, and Gage Malone, and three brothers; Jerry Jackson and his wife Karen of San Antonio, TX, Dave Jackson and his wife Kathy of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Michael Jackson of Assumption, IL. She was preceded in death by her father. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday. Reverend Terry Grebe will officiate. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
