LeAnn Kabitzke, 52, passed away at 7:00 am on Monday, July 27, 2009, at her home with her family by her side.
She was born on July 25, 1957, in Mayfield, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Walter Weldon & Margaret Mary (Thomas) Wiman.
She married James H. Kabitzke Jr. at Zion Lutheran Church on January 23, 1982. He survives.
She was the treasurer at Zion Lutheran Church and School in Bethalto and she served on the landscaping committee. She also worked at Weight Watchers and was very actively involved. She loved cross-stitching and her dogs.
LeAnn is survived by her husband, James of Bethalto; one sister, & brother-in-law, Regina & Roger Malatt of Greencastle, PA ; a brother and sister-in-law, Fred & Barbara Wiman of Olathe, KS and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2009 at the Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2009 at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastors Mark Hofferber and Willard Meyer officiating.
Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to 5 A's or Tuition Assistance Fund at Zion Lutheran School.
