Robert Scharth, 54, passed away at 5:03 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2009 at his home.
He was born on June 16, 1955 the son of Robert D. & Mary L. (Higdon) Scharth. They survive.
He married Patricia Ann Laird in 1977 and she precedes him in death.
Robert enjoyed watching the Cardinals and doing crossword puzzles.
In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his daughter LeeAnn and her husband James Jones of California, his siblings Mary Ann & her husband Mark Caldwell of St. Charles, MO, James & Jan Scharth of Dow, IL and Debra Waters of Collinsville, IL, and his nieces and nephews Marlo, Justin, Chris, Jennifer, Amanda, Maria & Branden.
In celebration of his life visitation will be 9:30 am to 11 am Thursday July 2, 2009 with funeral services to follow at 11 am at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf funeral home in Alton with Pastor Charles West officiating.
Burial will follow at Alton City Cemetery in Alton.
Memorials may be made to Rose Wood Care Center Nursing Home for the Physical Therapy Department.
