Harley Miller

Harley Miller, age 76, passed away at 10:19 pm on Friday, June 19, 2009, at his residence.

He was born on August 14, 1932, in East Alton, IL, to the late Raymond and Lillian (Morgan) Miller

He worked as an Ammunition loader tester for Olin Winchester Corporation for more than forty years. Harley was a US Army Veteran in the Korean War.

Harley had a deep appreciation for music of all kinds, was a pilot and loved to fly, an avid photographer and had a love for cats.

He is survived by two nieces Jamie Ursch of Springfield and Sandra and her husband Patrick Murray of Alton.

Harley was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Carrie Lowe.

Visitation will be from 12 to 1 pm Friday June 26, 2009 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton with a memorial service to follow at 1 pm, with Reverend George Humbert officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.

Memorials may be made to Alton 5 A's animal shelter.
