James Richard Sanders, 38, went to be with the Lord, surrounded by his family at his home, on Tuesday, March 25 2008 at 2:00 pm.
He was born on August 17, 1969, in Alton, IL, to Ellen Presley Sanders and Richard J. Sanders.
He graduated from Roxana Community High School in 1988.
His mother, Ellen Sanders-Liley, and her husband Gary, of Moro, survive him. His father Richard J Sanders of Oklahoma also survives him. His grandmother, Edith Taft of Moro and grandparents, Richard and Florence Sanders of Michael, also survive him. Also surviving is his very special Aunt and Uncle James and Donna Sohn of Bethalto and special cousins, Dale and Becky Stewart, and Doug and Sheila Beers, all of Brighton, Rick and Patty Guthrie, Kris Sohn, and Mike and Jamie Hilliard, all of Bethalto; stepbrothers and their wives, Gary and Penny Liley, Greg and Charlotte Liley of East Alton and Adam and Shelly Liley of St. Peters, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ferman Presley, stepfather, Wayne Gomer, and his special cousin, Stephen Bowman.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2006 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the funeral home with Pastor Dee Lynn and Pastor Carol Lucy officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials can be made to Alton Memorial Ambulance Service, who has been so kind in transporting Jimmy for the last 18 ½ years.
