Dennis Pulvirenti, age 65 of Maryville, IL, born December 8, 1956, in Belleville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
Dennis retired from the Federal Reserve Bank in St. Louis, MO as an IT Specialist. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville. Dennis was a huge fan of the St. Louis Blues and Kansas City Chiefs, but most importantly supporting his kids sporting events along with his wife. He also enjoyed BBQing and spending time with his family and canine companions, Cooper and Bear.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vito and Ruth (nee Becker) Pulvirenti; a sister and her husband, Anne and Gary Schuline; a brother, Joseph Pulvirenti (David’s twin); and father-in-law, Robert Jones.
Surviving is his devoted wife, Cindy (nee Jones) Pulvirenti, whom he married November 23, 1984; son, Todd (Dawn) Pulvirenti of Edwardsville, IL; daughter Tayler (Trent Weston) Pulvirenti of St. Louis, MO; brother, David Pulvirenti of Belleville, IL; two sisters: Mary (David) Hill of Collinsville, IL and Sharon Pulvirenti of Bollingbrook, IL; mother-in-law, Beverly Jones of Maryville, IL; brother-in-law, Bob (Beverly) Jones of Collinsville, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL, and 9 – 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville, IL. Due to current state restrictions, masks are required to be worn.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the church with Rev. Michael Walther officiating. Burial will be in Fairland Cemetery, Maryville, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, or the National Kidney Foundation and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to the funeral home. https://www.barrywilsonfuneralhome.com/
