Cleda Mae (Davis) Kessinger, 84, passed away at 1:49 a.m. Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton.
Cleda was born on May 20, 1936 in Bunker Hill. She was a daughter of the late Herbert and Dorothy M. (Price) Davis.
Cleda and Billy Gene Kessinger were married on February 25, 1955 in Wood River. He passed away in 2017.
She was a Sheet Metal Machinist at Boeing Areospace Company in St. Louis, MO for 25 years retiring in 1999.
Survivors include two daughters, Belinda Y. Boren of Dorsey, Tammy L. and Jeffrey Julen of Bunker Hill; two sons Ranson Gene Kessinger of Dorsey, Kevin Lance Kessinger and Dina Hancock of Bunker Hill; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lucille Eldridge of Bunker Hill.
Besides Billy and her parents, Cleda was preceded in death by a son Harold Kessinger; four grandchildren, Kristian Madison, Rose Marie Little, Dale Jones, Jr., Ares Kessinger; one sister, Delores Smith; one brother, John Thomas Davis.
A celebration of Cleda's life will begin at 4:00 p.m. until service time at 5:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2021 at Enjoy Church, 3303 Homer M. Adams Pkwy, Alton.
Graveside services will be private at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
