Shawn P. Margason, 43 of Pontoon Beach, IL passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at his home.
Shawn was born on May 1, 1977 in Maryville, IL; the son of the late Thomas and Paula Margason. Shawn was a burn table operator at Launer-Voss in St. Louis and in his free time Shawn enjoyed his days of shooting pool, was a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team and could cook and grill almost anything. Most of all Shawn loved to spend time with his family and friends and he will be remembered for all the special times they shared together.
Shawn is survived by and will be missed by his wife; Andrea “Andi” (Everett) Margason, whom he married on September 24, 2011; his children, Dylan Margason, Chaylynn Pratt, Chaise Pratt, Layton Letford; grandson, Connor Miller; granddaughter, Liora Beck; mother-in-law, Irene and Dennis Bertelsman; father-in-law, John and Merry Everett; and a great friend of Jimmy and Lea Watkins that was always willing to help any way he could.
In addition to his parents, Shawn was preceded in death by his grandson, Donovan Haven.
In celebration of Shawn’s life, a visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. with Fr. Jim Margason officiating at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery on Maryville Road in Granite City. In memory of Shawn, memorials are suggested to the family.
