Randolph Carl "RC" Cherry, Sr., 74, passed away 11:59 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2018 at his residence.
Born in Camden, TN on July 14, 1943, he was the son of Cecil and Lotricie (Hicks) Cherry.
He had been a driver for Waste Management for over 30 years before retiring in 2010.
On September 23, 1962, he married Nancy Ann Gleason. She survives.
Surviving also are sons, Randy. Jr. (Tawana) Cherry, Greg (Vici) Cherry; daughters, Lisa (Rick) Morgan, Missy (Barney) Stewart; nine grandchildren, Randy (Erin) Cherry, Samantha (Mike) Cherry, Ryne (Haylee) Cherry, Tonya (Charles) Newby, Kyle (Jasmine) Mixon, Niki Mixon, Mackenzie Stewart, Bryson Stewart, and Ricci Morgan; nine great grandchildren, Ava, Ella, Easton, Kinley, Addie, Caiden, Mason, Essense, Karma and one on the way; two brothers, Curtis Cherry and Kenny Cherry; two sisters, Jan Daubman, Dean Daubman; and special care-givers, Kristy Stewart and Shelia Gleason.
His parents; Great-granddaughter, Eemani Foster; and two brothers, Harold Cherry and Don Cherry preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 28 at the Bethalto Church of God (Wood River Campus) 1352 Miland St, Wood River, IL.
