Carol Ann Wilcox, 69, passed away at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Evelyn House in Creve Coeur.
She was born in Alton on December 30, 1948, the daughter of Ernest & Stella (Dodson) Stolze.
Carol married Louis David Wilcox on July 3, 1971 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Alton. He survives.
She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey and a former member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Alton. She worked as a secretary at Shell Oil Company and was a a homemaker and loving mother.
In addition to her husband, Dave; she is also survived by four children and their spouses, Michael (Deb) Wilcox of Alameda, CA, Cindy (Jeff) Lowe of Alton, Lisa Wolf of Alton, and Jeff Wilcox of Alton; eight grandchildren, Audra & Alexa Wilcox, Kristin & Carson Lowe, Dylan & Shaina Wolf, and Aaron & Annabelle Wilcox; three sisters, Susan Kelly, Barb (Greg) Sutphin, and Jean (Don) Goetges.; a sister-in-law, Virginia Whitehead and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nancy (Charles) Ferino, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dana (Gloria) Wilcox and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Janet Stolze; two sisters-in-law, Donna O’Keefe and Sarah “Susie” Dyer; and a son-in-law, Jason Wolf.
A Prayer Service will be held at 4:45 prior to the visitation.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Fr. Steve Janoski as celebrant.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Alton.
