Rosella Pruitt

Rosella Pruitt, age 87, of Alton, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018, at her home.She was born January 18, 1931, in Alton, the daughter of Elizabeth Coleman and her step-father who raised her, Earl Harris. She married John H. Pruitt on May 28, 1949, and he preceded her in death.Rosella was of the Baptist faith. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.She is survived by four children and their spouses, Janet and Eddie Doolittle, Charlene Farris, Ricky and Cindy Pruitt, and Harry and Linda Pruitt; two brothers, and their wives, Ronald and Joan Harris, and Edwin and Viola Coleman; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and close friends.In addition to her husband, John; she is preceded in death by her parents; three grandsons, Josh, Deon, and Danny; and a daughter, Carol.Visitation will be held Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.Funeral services will be held Friday, February 23, 2018 at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
