Jane Lee Gaither, 83, died at 5:50 p.m. Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Bethalto Care Center. Born February 28, 1934 in Alton, she was the daughter of John and Madaline (Wallace) Townsley. She retired from the housekeeping department at the Alton Belle Casino. Surviving are two daughters, Mary (Scott) Reynolds of Cottage Hills, and Jody Gaither of Texas, two sons, David (Sue) Gaither of Collinsville, and Danny (Cheryl) Gaither of Savannah, GA, 13 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a sister, Betty Gibson of Alton. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by four sons, Greg, Denny, Tim and Mark Gaither, a brother, Paul Townsley, and a sister, Bea Cowgill. Services will be private.
