Irene Langley

Irene M. Langley, 88, of Jerseyville, died Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at St. Clare's Hospital in Alton after a period of declining health. She was born in Brussels, Illinois on Dec. 23, 1928, and was one of four children born to Edward and Bertha (Richard) Kulp.She married James C. Langley on June 22, 1947 in Carlinville, Illinois, and together they were blessed with 48 years together before his death on Sept. 12, 1995.She is survived by a son, David Langley of Godfrey; six daughters, Linda Ennis of Alton, Judy Galley of Tuscon, Az., Mary Wilson of Morrisonville, Diane Crews of Jacksonville, Jamie Steinman of Granite City, and Carolyn Roggensee of Markle, In.; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Langley on March 14, 2016; an infant daughter, Marilyn Langley; a brother, Edward C. Kulp; and two sisters, DorrineBoushka and Adeline Kulp.Visitation will be from 1 p.m., Friday, May 26, 2017 until time of funeral services at 3 p.m., at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.   Rev. Royce Roy will officiate.Burial will take place in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.Memorials may be given to the Bethel Pentecostal Church in Rosewood Heights.
