Donald J. Wilson, 82, passed away Saturday April 22, 2017, at Calhoun Nursing and Rehab Center in Hardin, IL.
Donald was born on December 29, 1934 in Hamburg, IL, the son of the late Jesse “J.M.” and Cordia (Killebrew) Wilson.
He married Nina Klunk on November 20, 2011 in Hamburg, IL. She survives.
Donald was a member of Indian Creek Church of Christ in Hamburg, IL, and the Kampsville American Legion Post #1083. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, watching stock car races, and spending time with his friends and family.
In addition to his wife, Nina, he is survived by four children and their spouses Debra (Steve) Springman of MS, Gary (Donna) Wilson of Maryville, Linda (Jeff) Dailey of Hamburg and Lois (Michael) Sibley of Hamburg; seven step-children, Tammy Booth of Pittsfield, Debby (Eddie Joe) Klunk of Kampsville, Billie (Paula) Burge of Mt. Sterling, Dennis Burge of Kampsville, Tersa Perkinson of South Roxana, John (Sheila) Depper of Dow, and Bill Killebrew of MO; 14 grandchildren; 21 great- grandchildren; and several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane Wilson who passed away December 9, 2009; one brother, Gerald Wilson; two sisters Dorothy Eberhardt, and Pauline Wilson; infant sister, Donna Wilson; and one grandson, Jeremiah Costello.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm, on Tuesday April 25, 2017 at Gress, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Hardin, IL. Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at 10 am, at Indian Creek Church of Christ Hamburg, IL with Rick Burrows officiating. Burial will follow at Indian Creek Cemetery with military rites being performed by the Kampsville American Legion Post 1083.
