Clarence “Dale” Cook, 82, passed away at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at his home.He was born July 7, 1934, in East Alton, Illinois, the son of James and Minnie Cook.Dale has been married the former Carolyn Joyce Wolfe on December 29, 1967, at College Avenue Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Dr. James A. Thompson.Dale worked for Owens Illinois in the mold manufacturing division for more than 40 years prior to retirement.He was a long time member of Collage Avenue Presbyterian Church in Alton, where he served on the session, and was a church school teacher and youth leader. Dale enjoyed playing racket ball, bicycle riding, and watching any sport on TV.In addition to his wife, survivors include two children, Piper Lynn Cook-Busse of North Fort Meyer, Florida, and Anne Elizabeth Cook of Bethalto; one grandson, Blakelyn Lance Busse; and one great grandson, Blakelyn James Busse.He was preceded in death by his parents; six sister, Irene Lanier, Marie Powell, Freda Norris, Hazel Franklin, Susie Cook, Reba McManus; three brothers, Robert Cook, James Cook, and Loren Cook; and numerous nieces and nephews.Cremation rites have been accorded.Arrangements by Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.Online condolences and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
