Michael Kevin Schelm, 59, died at 11:02 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2016 at OSF St. Anthony’s Healthcare in Alton. Born December 26, 1956 in Alton, he was the son of Kenneth L. and Betty Jean (Darnell) Schelm. He is survived by his sister-in-law Karen Schelm of Brighton and a nephew, Raymond Schelm. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Rodney Schelm. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2016. Reverend Randy Butler will officiate. Burial will be at Godfrey Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
