Barbara Taylor

Barbara Carol Taylor, 76, of Jerseyville, died at 7:01 p.m., Monday, August 22, 2016 at the Jersey Community Hospital in Jerseyville. She was born in St. Louis, MO. on Feb. 1, 1940, and was the daughter of the Leo Dan & Pearl (Lumpkin) Black.For many years, Barbara resided in Calhoun County, moving to Jerseyville in 1986.   While in town, she was employed as a cook and waitress at Fran  & Marilyn's Restaraunt in Jerseyville, where she was grateful for numerous friendships that were made.She married Allen O. Taylor on June 1, 1960 in El Paso, Texas, and they shared 35 years together before his death on Sept. 28, 1995.Barbara is survived by numerous nieces & nephews, David Taylor of Sulfic, WV., Michael Anthony Walker of Farmington, Mo., James Bolin of St. Peters, Mo., Robert Bolin of Gillespie, Steve Bolin of Mt. Vernon, Donna Stallings of Wallace, NC., June Nenninger of DeSoto, Mo., and Debbie Campbell of Florissant, Mo.In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Raymond Madison and Robert Madison; and two sisters, Joan Taylor and Janet Bolin; a nephew, Raymond Taylor; and four nieces, Vickie Taylor, Colleen Fenton, Michelle Unger, and Christine Bolin.Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.Graveside services will immediately follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
