David VanVertloo

David H. VanVertloo age 66 of Edwardsville, Illinois, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016 in Michigan City, Indiana. He was born on April 26, 1950 in Highland, Illinois, the son of the late Alfred & Thelma H. (Schwear) VanVertloo. He married Jane M. Hankammer on April 27, 1973, at the St. Peter & Paul Church in Waterloo, Illinois. She survives. David is also survived by two sons, Mike VanVertloo & wife Laura of Ames, Iowa, Brian VanVertloo & wife Ann of Crofton, Maryland; one daughter, Jennifer Hoeferlin & husband T.J. of Katy, Texas; three grandchildren, Liam, Declan, & Killian Hoeferlin; and one sister, JoAnn Ursprung of Edwardsville, Illinois. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville, and the Knights of Columbus Council 1143 in Edwardsville. David was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2016, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2016, at St. Boniface with The Very Reverend Jeffrey H. Goeckner officiating. Interment will be at St. Boniface Cemetery in Edwardsville.
