The Ollenbittle family suffered a great loss in the early hours of June 22, 2016. Anthony “Tony” Ollenbittle, loving son, brother and uncle passed away in Hesperia, CA. Those of us left behind may mourn but we are comforted that this is not an ending for Tony, rather a beginning to his newest adventure. Tony was born October 15, 1982 in Tampa, FL, the son of David and Linda (Zuniga) Ollenbittle of Godfrey. Tony’s extreme love for animals and the outdoors filled his life with happiness and great purpose. The only thing that topped his passion for exploration was the love he had for his family. He was proud to call himself a mamma’s boy. He never missed a chance to spend time with his ten nieces and nephews that he adored immensely. Tony’s own children are Peaches, a beautifully excited pit-bull and her polar opposite calm and collected sister, Mookie Sue who is a chocolate lab. Along with his parents, Tony will be dearly missed by his oldest sister, Kelly Davis (Jeremy) and their children, Laney, Lexie and Andrew, his brother, David Ollenbittle (Jesse) and their children, Emily, David, Sam, Jack and Katie, his youngest sister, Elizabeth Ollenbittle and fiancé Ryan Heinlein and their children, Tillie and Tatum. Also surviving are his aunt, Sharon Wilson and his cousins, Matt, Joe and Alex. Tony is accompanied by his grandparents, Manny and Elizabeth Zuniga and Fred and Ila Ruth Ollenbittle, and his uncle, Phil Lopez. A memorial visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
