Nancy Singletary

DOW-  Nancy Marie Singletary, 80, died suddenly at 6:13 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2015 at her residence.She was born on April 7, 1935 in Dallas, Texas, one of eight children born to the late Robert Frank & Ethel (McIntyre) Hill.Nancy married Herman Singletary on May 27, 1954 in Houston, Texas, and they spent the first fourteen years of their married life in Texas.  In 1968, they relocated their family to Florissant, Mo., where they resided for 34 years, before moving to Dow in 2002, where they have enjoyed the time they have spent with their families.Surviving are her husband, Herman Singletary of Dow; a daughter and son in law, Marie & Kevin Mangrum of Dow; a son & daughter in law, Dan & Rhonda Singletary of West Plains, Mo.; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a brother & sister in law, Howard & Helen Hill of Georgetown, Tx.; a sister, Billie Jo Kluna of Katy, Tx.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia (Singletary) Balven in April 1982; an infant grandson, Jerry Ray Mangrum; a brother, Robert Hill; and four sisters, Maxine Helton, Imogene Rosamond, Camille Helton, and Dwendolen Hill.Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday.  Rev. David Brown will officiate.Burial will take place in the Friendens Cemetery in Bellefontaine Neighbors, Mo.Memorials may be given to the Dow Southern Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
